The primary purpose of this role is to provide quality assurance support for all applications with exceptional quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the Manager and/or Lead to provide QA solutions for assigned projects.
  • Authoring, maintaining and executing test cases in accordance with established standards and formats. Proactively understands changes to project scope and makes relevant changes to test scripts and scenarios as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of functional and technical specifications and incorporating this information into test cases.
  • Design and participate in all phases for testing life cycle. (Complete understanding of SDLC)
  • Identify and document defects and assist with classification, tracking, retesting, and resolution as required
  • Review documentation and user manuals to obtain functional and technical knowledge of assigned application technology.
  • Interact with business users, business analysts and systems analysts to understand requirements and enhancement requests
  • Support user training and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Provide production support during go lives.
  • Create test scripts as per workflow and business requirement
  • Provide accurate testing status to leadership & project team(s).
  • Active participant in process improvements, voice project concerns, impacts
  • Active participant in best practices
  • Negotiate approach, effort & delivery time
  • Ability to work multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  •  BA or BS degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience

 

Experience:

  •  2 - 5 years Healthcare Software testing and support experience OR
  •  2 - 5 years practical experience in providing technical support and maintenance in Allscripts product preferred

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel occasionally as warranted by project work; frequency will vary depending on project requirements

 

Working Arrangements:

  • May require after hours on call support
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
