The primary purpose of this role is to Perform Coding, Testing, Documentation in the areas of Development and Maintenance.


  • Coding, Testing, Documentation in the areas of Development and Maintenance
  • Ownership of assigned software and non-software deliverables
  • Liaison with Business Analysts and/or internal customers to ensure that requirements are understood
  • Production, preparation and execution of unit test plans
  • Production of efficient and fully documented code
  • Production of supporting technical and installation documentation for internal and external publication
  • Achievement of agreed productivity targets in order to ensure developments are delivered within budget, to schedule and to defined quality standards
  • Completion of all necessary software and non-software components in the timescales as defined by the Project Manager. Quality and adherence to Standards
  • Tech Specs, Code and/or Unit Test Plans produced are all in line with the Traceability Matrix/Functional Specification
  • Timely and accurate reporting of project status as required by Line or Project Manager
  • Escalate all issues in a timely fashion


The role of the SSRS Reporting Developer is to plan, design, implement, debug, and troubleshoot specific reporting solutions. The SSRS Reporting developer will be part of a shared-services team. Scrum teams draw from this shared-services team as reporting needs arise. The SSRS Reporting Developer will work with these scrum teams to deliver reporting solutions for the Healthcare sector.
Experience in all stages of report development is necessary, including gathering requirements, design and layout, implementation, troubleshooting, testing and deployment. The SSRS Reporting Developer needs to have in-depth experience with SQL Server and SSRS.
Significant experience (2+ years) in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).


Technical Skill Set
Strong proficiency with stored procedure development and SQL queries.
SQL Server Database Engine, Report Builder.
Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access)


Essential Skills and Qualities

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Personality and communication (you must be tenacious, professional, and have excellent communication skills)
Advanced knowledge of SQL script, T-SQL stored procedures, indexes and SQL analytics functions
Advanced knowledge of report development utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), including data validation.
Design, code and test SQL Server Reporting Services components (User Interface, Stored Procedures, Tables, etc.)
Write SQL statements within stored procedures; perform database queries and analysis
Adhere to published coding standards and documentation requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive data and provide good report of the data.
Development of Dynamic SSRS reports and Stored Procedures to support reporting requirements
Experience working in or understanding of an agile team work environment.


Knowledge of Data Warehouse concept, ETL concepts and tools preferred

  • Very little to no travel is required in this role

Working Arrangements:

  • Monday through Friday or as defined by local requirements
